1. What are the requirements to participate?

• Send us a photo of you in PNG or JPG format in the TotalEnergies ½ MARATHON CIUDAD DE MALAGA 2025.
• Follow the @mediademalaga account on Instagram.

2. How many categories will there be?

There are two categories:

• Female
• Male

Each category will have a maximum of 20 photos. If more than 20 photos are received per category, the first 20 received in each category will enter the contest.

3. When and how can I send the photo?

By email to prensamediomalaga@slib.es. All photos not sent through this method will not participate in the contest.

Deadline to send the photo: Friday, February 13. In the email you must include the following:

SUBJECT: Category Contest

In the body of the message:

Full name.

Instagram username.

Province, nationality.

Example:

SUBJECT: Male Contest

José García

Malaga, Spain

Any email that does not include that subject and that information will not be part of the contest.

*Only one photo per participant will be accepted. If more than one is sent, the organization will choose the one it deems appropriate.

**Photos for the heats will be adapted to 1080×1080 px format.

***Photos for the final will be adapted to 1080×1350 px format.

***Photos with watermarks will not enter the contest.

4. What will be the contest dynamics?

The first 20 photos in each category will be part of the contest in each category, which will take place entirely on the @mediademalaga Instagram account.

If we receive more than 10 photos, there will be an initial round of heats. We will create random one‑on‑one heats in Stories where @mediademalaga followers will choose which photo moves on to the next round.

Once the heats are completed, we will reach the final with a maximum of 10 photos.

5. When will voting take place?

In the month of February.

6. How is the winner in each category chosen in the final?

Through popular voting on Instagram. There will be a maximum of 10 photos in the final of each category, which will be the winners of the previous heats.

Each photo will be assigned a number. Users will vote for the best photo in each category on the @mediademalaga Instagram account.

Only one vote per user will be counted.

7. How are votes counted in the final of each category?

Through a web application, we export all comments from the post to a Word file. Once we have all the votes, the count is done using CHAT GPT following these steps:

1. Extraction and Initial Filtering:
   We collect all comments in a text file or spreadsheet.
   b. We count the frequency of each number to determine which is mentioned the most.
2. Identification of “Invalid Votes”:
   Repeated Votes by User: We remove duplicates considering the same number mentioned by a user.
   b. Unintentional Mentions:

• We analyze the context of the number within the comment. For example, we check if the number appears inside a word or a combination such as a username, hashtags, or part of another number (like in “21K”).
• Only numbers isolated or accompanied by an explicit voting statement (e.g., “I vote for 3”) will be considered va

3. Calculation of the Final Result:

• With the valid votes defined, the most‑voted number will be determined.

8. What is the prize?

The male category winner and the female category winner will receive as a prize a race bib for the TotalEnergies 1/2 Marathon of Málaga 2026. If already registered for the event, the prize will be a race bib for the 2027 edition.

9. Changes and Acceptance of Legal Terms

The organization reserves the right to modify or expand these Legal Terms, provided it does not harm or undermine the rights of Participants in the Contest. By simply participating in the Contest, the Participant fully accepts the conditions of these Legal Terms. Likewise, participation in a Contest of this nature implies acceptance of the rules of the Instagram social network through which it is carried out.
