WHEN AND WHERE IS THE TotalEnergies MÁLAGA HALF MARATHON HELD?

The TotalEnergies Málaga Half Marathon 2026 will take place on March 15, 2026 in the city of Málaga, with the start at 08:15 from Paseo del Parque. The Finish Line will be located at the same start point, on Paseo del Parque.

IS THERE A CUT-OFF TIME TO FINISH THE RACE?

Yes. The cut-off time to finish the half marathon is 3 hours, with the finish line closing at 11:35.

WHAT ARE THE REGISTRATION DEADLINES?

The registration opening date will be Monday, April 7, 2025, until Tuesday, March 10, 2026, or until the 10,000 available entries are sold out.

WHAT ARE THE CATEGORIES?

  • Overall M / F. Includes all, except wheelchair.
  • Junior M / F: Born in 2007 and 2008 (of legal age on race day)

WHERE AND WHEN IS THE BIB PICK-UP AND RUNNER’S BAG DISTRIBUTION?

Bibs and the Runner’s Bag will be handed out exclusively at the TotalEnergies Málaga Half Marathon Expo, at the Cruise Terminal of the Port of Málaga (Muelle de Cánovas s/n), non-stop on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 March 2026, from 10:00 to 20:00. Access is free for runners and companions.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PICK UP MY BIB AND RUNNER’S BAG?

To pick up the bib, you must present the registration receipt / copy and your ID / Passport or another document accrediting the runner’s identity. To pick up the runner’s bag you must have your bib.

If a runner cannot pick up their bib, it may be collected by another person as long as they bring the receipt or copy of the registration plus a photocopy of the ID and a signed authorization from the runner.

Under no circumstances will bibs or runner’s bags be delivered on race day.

WHAT DOES THE RUNNER’S BAG INCLUDE?

The runner’s bag includes the official Luanvi technical T-shirt of the TotalEnergies Málaga Half Marathon 2026, a sticker for the bag drop, bib-chip, safety pins, plus various gifts provided by the Half Marathon sponsors.

WHAT TYPE OF CHIP IS USED AND WHEN IS IT PICKED UP?

The chip in the 35th edition of the TotalEnergies Málaga Half Marathon will be a bib-chip, attached to the back of the bib. It does not need to be returned after finishing the race.

The bib-chip is collected at the runner’s expo non-stop on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 March 2026, from 10:00 to 20:00.

IS IT MANDATORY TO FILL IN THE INFORMATION ON THE BACK OF THE BIB?

Yes. In case of a medical emergency, having that information correctly filled in will allow for faster and more efficient action in case of allergies, any condition that needs to be known or to notify a family member or acquaintance more quickly.

IS THERE A BAG DROP SERVICE?

Yes. The organization will provide a bag drop service. It will be located near Paseo del Parque, in the Start and Finish area. The schedule will be from 6:45 to 12:00.

ARE THERE TOILETS? WHERE ARE THEY LOCATED?

Yes. The organization will provide portable toilets located in the Start and Finish areas, as well as in the different aid stations.

WHERE ARE THE AID STATIONS LOCATED?

There will be 5 aid stations along the course, plus one after crossing the finish line at the TotalEnergies Málaga Half Marathon 2026.

Depending on the kilometer points where the aid stations are located, they may have different layouts and different types of products and services (provisional layout):

  • KM 5.5: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water. There will be portable toilets.
  • KM 10.5: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water. There will be portable toilets.
  • KM 12.5: Located on the left side of the road according to the running direction. Aid station with water. There will be portable toilets.
  • KM 15.5: Located on both sides of the road according to the running direction. Aid station with water and isotonic drink in cups. There will be portable toilets.
  • KM 18: Located on the right side of the road according to the running direction. Aid station with water and isotonic drink in cups. There will be portable toilets.

Important:

  • The aid stations are designed to serve the Half Marathon runners. All will have a large number of tables where the products will be placed. Runners are asked not to take drinks from the first tables at the front of the station to avoid congestion.

SHOULD I READ THE RACE REGULATIONS?

Yes. The regulations reflect the rules of the Half Marathon and are mandatory knowledge and compliance for all participants. Not knowing the regulations does not exempt participants from complying.

CAN SOMEONE ACCOMPANY ME ON A BICYCLE DURING THE MARATHON?

  1. It is strictly forbidden to follow runners on a motorbike or bicycle. The Local Police have express orders to remove from the course anyone who violates this rule, in order to prevent any accident for the runners, the public, or members of the organization.

ARE THERE STARTING CORRALS?

Yes. There will be start corrals for Elite, sub 1h30’, sub 1h45’, sub 2h and over 2h. To access these corrals, it is necessary to inform the organization at the time of registration of the corral you wish to apply for and your verified personal best, which must be equal to or faster than the time of the corral you wish to enter (only times achieved in the last 2 years and in certified Marathon and Half Marathon events will be accepted).

ARE 10-KILOMETER TIMES ALSO VALID TO VERIFY TIMES AND THUS ACCESS THE EXISTING START CORRALS?

Yes, times from 10-kilometer races will be accepted as valid as long as they were achieved in certified events within the last two years. The equivalences would be sub 33' (elite), sub 41’ (sub 1h30’), sub 47’ (sub 1h45’) and sub 54’ (sub 2h),

IS THERE A FINISHER MEDAL?

A commemorative Half Marathon finisher medal will be awarded to every athlete who completes the race.

CAN I PERSONALIZE THE FINISHER MEDAL?

The request for engraving the Finisher medal will be available online until Monday, March 9, at 11:59 p.m. Once this deadline has passed, you may request engraving at the Half Marathon expo, at the Todotrofeo stand, at a cost of €10.
