The 27th MMMLG will take place on Sunday 26th March 2017 at 9.30 am.
The course, which will be measured by the Andalusian Athletics Federation (F.A.A.), will be 21,097 km long. The marathon is aimed at both affiliated and unaffiliated runners, so long as they are 18 years old at the day of the race.
The 27th Half Marathon "Ciudad de Málaga" is included in the Andalusian Athletics Federation calendar and will be overseen by the “Colegio Provincial de Jueces”. Claims should be addressed to the Judge of the race up to 30 minutes after the announcement of the results.
There will be race controls at 5, 10, 15, 20 km and finish line. Runners cannot exceed the 40 min, 1hour 20 min, 2hours, 2hs 40 min and 2hs 50 min time limit to complete each stage. Were they to exceed these limits, the vehicle that indicates the end of the race will go past them thus having to either abandon the race or continue running under their own responsibility and abiding by the traffic rules like ordinary pedestrians.
There will be refreshment stations at km 5, 10, 13, 16, 19 and finish line with water and/or isotonic drinks.
Athletes will be provided with Cloakroom, Medical Assistance, Physiotherapists and Masseurs.
Should you need further information on the rules and regulations of this race, please contact the Event Organisers. Any tampering, alteration or falsification of personal data carried out by a registered athlete will lead to imminent disqualification. The race number must not be cut or folded, and must be worn on the front of the athlete's upper body garment, fully spread out.
All registered participants are protected by an Insurance Policy, provided by the Event Organisers, that will cover any accident suffered by the participant as a direct result of his/her participation in the event. However, this insurance will not cover any injury or illness the participant may have prior to the event, those caused by negligence on the part of the participant e.g. for not abiding by the rules and regulations of the event, or any accident taking place on the way to the venue of the event or from it.
The Event Organisation is not responsible for any injuries or damage caused to and/or by registered athletes due to irresponsibility or negligence on their part. Also, the participant declares that he/she is physically capable of completing the race, and the Event Organisers will be exempted of any liabilities related to that matter. By registering in this race, the participant acknowledges and agrees to the conditions stated here.
The only vehicles allowed to follow the athletes will be those designated by the Event Organisers. The local police will fine those drivers breaking this rule.
Runner numbers as well as timing chips will be collected from the New Estadio de Atletismo "Ciudad de Málaga", Calle Miguel Mérida Nicolich, by Palacio de los Deportes José Mª Martín Carpena.
- As from Friday 24th March from 4pm to 8pm. and Saturday 25th March from 10am to 2pm and from 4pm to 8pm, being obligatory for athletes from Málaga to collect their numbers on these days.
- Sunday 26th March from 7.30am to 9.30am.
Together with their runner number athletes will receive the OFFICIAL EVENT T-SHIRT
- All registered athletes will receive the official T-shirt the moment they collect their runner number.
- Finisher's will also receive a medal to commemorate their achievement.
- The first three finishers from each category will receive a trophy.
- At the end of the event, the different sponsors will carry out a raffle with all the participants' runner numbers.
Athletes will have to show their ID or Passport the moment they collect their prize.
RUNNERS WHO FAIL TO COLLECT THEIR TROPHIES AND/OR CASH PRIZES THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION LOSE THEIR RIGHT TO CLAIM THEM LATER, THUS AGREEING TO LEAVE THEM AT THE DISPOSAL OF THE EVENT ORGANISERS.
The registration period starts on 1st September 2016 and ends the 12th March 2016 or until we reach the maximum number of registrations which is 7500 runners (whatever happens first). No registrations will be allowed after the 12th March 2017.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT REGISTRATION
Refunds: the competition fee will only be refunded to those who apply for it up to the 28th February 2017 inclusive. Runners will be penalized with -40% of registration fee, therefore will only be refunded with 60% of the fee into the bank account number facilitated. No refunds will be possible after the 28th February 2017, regardless of the reason for its request. Participants are not allowed to pass their runner numbers on to other runners.
If, due to bad weather conditions, force majeure or other circumstances beyond the Event Organiser's control, the marathon had to be cancelled, there will be no refunds.

The Organization reserves the exclusive rights to the images, photographs, videos and information of the event in which the participants may appear, as well as to use this material for advertisements, public relations or any other journalistic or promotional purposes of the event .
